To get an API key for your company, email support@digitalpermitbook.com with your company name and what you'd like to connect.

Using Samsara, Motive, Geotab, Platform Science or ISAAC? You don't need the API for these. Connect them in Settings > Integrations. See Integrations.

Authentication

Every request needs your company's API key in the X-API-KEY header. Keep the key on your server; never put it in a browser or mobile app. Requests go to https://api.digitalpermitbook.com.

Pagination

List endpoints return one page at a time. Use page and page_size. The response has the records in data, plus total_entries_count, total_pages and current_page.

Webhooks

Get an event sent to your system when a driver, vehicle, trailer or document is created, updated or deleted, or when a DVIR or form is submitted, to a URL or an email address. Set them up in Settings > Webhooks in the dashboard (usually on the Enterprise plan).
