Everything in a driver's profile: details, documents, notes, activity, and actions

3 min readAlso in Español, Français

Go to Drivers and click a driver's name. Their profile opens in a panel with four tabs: Info, Documents, Notes, and Activity.

In the Drivers list, the Last Active column shows the last time each driver used the driver app. It's an easy way to spot drivers who haven't logged in yet or have stopped using the app.

If you use an integration (Samsara, Motive, Geotab, Platform Science, or Isaac), drivers and their assigned equipment update automatically within 15 minutes.

Info

If the driver is missing any required documents, a red banner at the top lists them.

  • Basic – first and last name, username, status, email, phone, license # and state, tags, and division.
  • Details – Driver ID, date of birth, active date, and inactive date.
  • Custom Fields – any custom fields you've set up in Settings > Custom Fields.
  • Assigned Equipment & Co Driver – the driver's vehicle and trailer, a link to open each one, the Lock Vehicle and Lock Trailer options, and the Co Driver.

Turn on Lock Vehicle or Lock Trailer to limit the driver to documents for their assigned units. When they're off, the driver can browse documents for all vehicles and trailers.

Documents

  1. Open the Documents tab.
  2. Click + Add Document to add a document to this driver, or open an existing one to edit it.
  3. Use the Driver and DOT Mode switches to choose whether the driver can see each document. See Driver and DOT Mode Visibility.

Drivers are notified when a document shared with them is added or updated.

Notes

Add internal notes and tag teammates with @. See Notes and Mentions.

Activity

See all activity for this driver, including when they logged in or out of the driver app.

  • Set Lock Vehicle and Set Lock Trailer – turn the lock on or off, limiting drivers to documents for their assigned units.
  • Set Password – set the same password for the selected drivers.
  • Set Division and Add Tags – assign a division or tags to the selected drivers.
  • Send Invite and Send Notification – invite the selected drivers to the driver app, or send them a notification.
