File Drop is a quick way to pass a single file between drivers and the office without attaching it to a profile. It handles one file at a time.
- Drivers to the office (most common): drivers send files like BOLs, receipts, or inspection reports from the driver app.
- Office to a driver: you can share one document with one driver as a one-time share.
View files drivers sent
- Click File Drop in the left menu, or the File Drop card on the Dashboard.
- The list shows each file's Name (the driver), Doc Type, Description, Date, Expiry Date, and Source.
- Use the eye icon to view a file, the download icon to save it, or the trash icon to delete it.
Use the search bar, Filters, and Columns to find files.
Share a file with a driver
In File Drop, click + Add Document, choose the driver, and add the one file you want to share. For documents the driver needs to keep, such as permits or registrations, add them to the driver or unit profile instead.
Turn it on for drivers: Drivers can only use File Drop if File Drop is turned on in Settings > Driver App. If drivers send DOT inspections through File Drop, turn on Auto-extract DOT Inspection in Settings > Other Settings to have AI create the inspection for you.
